The
Sun |
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
Sun is the center
of all lives, force and energy. Sun is positive
and hot by nature, it rules east direction, offers
the power of resistance and it’s fiery by
nature. Sun represents East Direction. According
to Hindu Mythology, seven horses drive the chariot
of Sun. Let us link it with Newton’s dispersion
of Sunlight. Newton knew astrology.
Newton’s
basic experiment with a prism consisted of, allowing
a narrow beam of sunlight to pass through a small
hole in the window shuttered. He noticed that
white, on passing through the prism, spread out
in a rainbow colored strip, which he could receive
on a screen.
The colored strip
is called a spectrum, and the phenomenon of the
incidentray (that is white light) breaking up
into its constituent colors is called dispersion.
A prism is thus said to decompose or analyze white
sunlight into its various colors components mainly
a band of seven colors: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green,
Blue, indigo and Violet. This is called a visible
spectrum; we can see it with our eyes.

of a solar spectrum
Sun rules over visible and
invisible spectrum. All the rays emanate from
it. In other words all the nine rays combined
together are sunrays.
In Alchemy the symbol 0 is
represents for Hydrogen and in astrology it
represents Sun.
The
Moon |
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
Moon is the
queen of the Planetary System. It takes 27 days
7hrs. and 43 minutes in transiting 12 signs.
It is nearest to the earth and revolves around
it. It shines by the reflected rays of the Sun.
Moon represents North West Direction.
In physiography we read that
tides in the sea are caused by difference of
attraction exerted by moon and the center of
the earth on the surface of water. The Moon
attracts the seawater to itself causing tides
and sun hinders the action of moon in lowering
the tides.
Tides are caused by the gravitational pulls
of the Sun and Moon. The Sun’s influence
on the tides is less then half that of the Moon,
because the Sun is to far away. All the same
the Sun countervails and support the Moon’s
pull. Alternately, when the Sun, Moon and Earth
are in a line as at new and full moon, then
the Sun and Moon combined their powers and we
have very high tides called spring tides.
When the sun and moon are at
right angles as in the moon’s first and
third quarters, the Sun acts as a counter balancing
force and reduce the moon’s pull. During
these periods, we experience very low tides
called Neap Tides.
Moon represents mind because
human blood is also attracted by the gravitational
pull of Moon and blood practically conforms
the same proportion of salts, as does seawater.
Sea Water and Human Blood thus have similar
proportions. Both are affected by the gravitational
pull of the moon. Ordinary water is not attracted
by Moon, as it does not contain this salt that
is why pull on a river is not observed as is
observed in seawater.
